Love and Other Words | Christina Lauren (re-read)
Another book with time jumps for each chapter and a tricky relationship that begins as young love. These stories will NEVER get old for me! First off, I love that it was set in the Bay Area! (Yeee!) Second, I immediately and completely felt deeply for Elliot. The chapters that were in Elliot’s and Macey’s adulthood made my heart feel a deep ache for their love and longing. The sweetness and honesty they have in their conversations make me stop in my reading tracks and hold my hand to my heart only to read those lines a few more times over again.

What Lies in the Woods | Kate Alice Marshall
Not a bad read! It was thrilling for sure. I definitely didn’t trust a damn person in this book but I still had a jaw dropping moment. The thing that put me off a little was there were some parts that were a little draggy. This took me a while to finish. There were too many things happening in the book which caused some confusion. This is the author’s first adult thriller and I wouldn’t mind reading other books from her if she continues on that journey!

Bridesmaid Undercover (Bridesmaid for Hire, #2) | Meghan Quinn
This is only my second book I’ve read from this author and I think it’s safe to assume she loves to put the gorgeous men in silly positions which I do enjoy. The situations are silly and , at times, quite hilarious where I do find myself chuckling out loud! And as much as the silly parts were super silly, the steamy parts were super steamy.
Bay-bee the tingles. *blows out a puff of air*
Lets say I approve of Hardy’s love of a feast. *smirk*

Rekindling the Flame | Madison Myers (ARC Review)

I am so grateful to have been gifted with the opportunity to read this ARC.
It would have taken me a shorter time to read this but this story was sooo good I was savoring moments ad chapters and re-reading the dirt party quite a few times. LOL.
I love me a good sweet and spicy book but this one took it up a notch for me.
It brought a few tears to my eyes, a twitch at my heartstrings and a tingle in my kitty. Sheesh!
Never did I not love Rory *ahem*. She was just a lost lamb that needed some healing.
Laura lee is a tough old bird that I hope to be one day. Her little parts stole the show sometimes. Everyone has got to love a feisty female.
And Wyatt. Wyatt, Wyatt, Wyatt. Do dirty deeds to me, make sure I have something to eat and tell me I have been the only one SINCE day one and I’ll give you anything. Lol.
I loved this book so much. It had a little bit of everything. First love, grief, journey to healing, family chaos, rough and rugged zaddy, and a pretty smart female. I loved every minute of this journey in Smokey Heights.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical book and dive right back in again. This one is a MUST READ!

Fourth Wing (The Empyrean #1) | Rebecca Yarros
Why did it take me so damn long to read this!! This book…I. AM. OBSESSED! I’ll tell ya what! Xaden is definitely top shadow daddy for me! lol.
I loved traveling through this world of dragons and the mayhem they call Basgiath War College.
This book had me in a constant state of stress so it kept me on the edge of my seat. Had a great amount of action, suspense, magic, connection, heat and heart.
I am an absolute lover of dragons and their riders.
If you haven’t gotten lost in this world yet, get your hands on this book and go and get LOST!

Iron Flame (The Empyrean #2) | Rebecca Yarros
Oh. My. God. When I said Fourth Wing got me stressed, this book one upped that stress. There were many moments where my heart was racing and I was pacing while reading! I had to take mini breaks to get through the rollercoaster of emotions this book imbued. The action, actioned. The the spice, spiced. (Good gawd, someone get me Tyrrendor’s throne. *sigh*) This book fucking wrecked me (in the best bookish way possible). Believe me when I say, these emotions will last for a good while. At least until the 3rd book comes out next year and Yarros puts us all on another rollercoaster ride. Worth it all!

Somewhere For Your Loneliness | Jeri Marie (ARC Review)

I am so grateful to have been gifted with the opportunity to read this ARC by Jeri Marie through BookFunnel.
Ahhhhhhh what a beautiful story about healing and family.
I love how Jess and Cheyenne began their story. It was a beautiful story of lovely chaos. They both have painful backstories but they were just two people trying to find their way, to find somewhere for their loneliness, if you will.
I connected with these two and the parts where their pain had an effect on the other, truly did give me pains in my chest!
I enjoyed reading their journey through healing and the events that happened after they found that peace.
The background characters, the Hale family…LOVED them! A soft spot for Maddox and Mason will always be dedicated just for them!

Holiday Wedding | Melissa Dymond (ARC Review)

I am so grateful to have been gifted with the opportunity to read this ARC by Dr. Melissa Dymond through Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op.
I wanted to like this book but I do have to say I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. The stories about both couples were just weird to me. Especially the storyline between Jenny and Dea. One minute they are “enemies” and in the most quickest second they were together. There was not enough “foreplay” so to speak. The banter between the was neither witty or flirty or even appealing enough for me. The story of Gwen and Caleb was like a Hallmark holiday mystery with a tiny sprinkle of spice.
I can see some people enjoying this book. I just, personally, did not connect to it. But bravo to the author for her hard work in putting her imagination down on pen and paper and sharing it with the masses!

His & Hers | Alice Feeney
Oooooweeee, did this book take me on a ride. The gasps I gasped. The WTFs I yelled out. This was a dark ass thriller roller coaster ride I didn’t mind being on. When you thought one thing it was another. That theme continued on throughout the book so the author definitely kept me guessing. This was the first book I’ve picked up from this other and I think I’d like to pick up more. I did enjoy her writing!

Happy Reading!
