Indulging Temptation (Tempting the Heart, #1) | N.J. Weeks (ARC Review)
(check out my post edit on IG here)
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this ARC by N.J. Weeks and Luna Literary 🤎
This was the first book I’ve read from N.J. Weeks and MY GAWD was it good. What a time I had reading what sexy ass Chef Santino Amato likes to indulge in. And that was Lorena Ramos.
He’s been in love with her forever, had candles made in HER SCENT, and would do ANYTHING for her. This man begged to be friends with bennies just to have any taste she would offer and he took it.
Lorena is a force and I loved her from the get. She was sassy, head strong, took no shit and goes to bat for anyone she loves. She’s a down ass chick and I was down for her!
You couldn’t help but fall in love with ALL the characters in the book. I loved this story so damn much! It’s a MUST READ!
Ricochet: A Second Chance Medical Romance (Gulf Waters Regional Book One) | Emmy Kendall (ARC Review)
(check out my post edit on IG here)
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this ARC by Emmy Kendall and Torch Lit Ink.
Omg. The tea. The heartbreak. Right from the prologue! I was sucked in!
If you love medical dramas, like I do (shout out ER, Chicago Med, The Resident, The Good Doctor, The Night Shift, General Hospital, and sooo sooo much more), you will want to dive deep into this book. And like STAT.
There is no shortage of detailed scary medical situations that give you goosebumps AND there is a good heaping dose of drama. And if you know me and my tastes in books when there is ANGST, I am all in. Break my fucking heart, make me cry, and mend my heart so it can be filled with so much love. I finished this book with puffy eyes and smile on my face.
Emmy Kendall has found a fan in me. Can’t wait for Book 2 in the series coming out next year!
Say You’ll Remember Me | Abby Jimenez
“Love is easy. Life is hard.”
And boy did this book highlight the hard. Unfortunately, this is the first Abby Jimenez book I walked away from not fully excited about it. I understand the hardship part of the story. I am no stranger to loving the difficult parts of a book but I just couldn’t vibe with the story line. I also felt the FMC and MMC were a little bland to me. Not something I usually feel about any of her characters. I still definitely want to continue on with the series! This one was still cute and still worth the read but it just was not a favorite one of mine so far.
Final Goodbye (Alpine Peak Book 1) | Nicole Kennedy
I downloaded this book because I saw there was an ARC sign up for Book 2 so I wanted to read this one before the ARC arrived in my inbox. From the blurb, I had high hopes. It wasn’t terrible but I thought the writing could have been better. Ugh, I hate having to say that since I’m not an author myself but I am a reader so, as a reader, I felt this book had a lot going on at once and the writing was not as mature. Even though this is far from a favorite read of mine this year, I feel I’m definitely invested and still willing to see what happens in Book 2. I haven’t given up on this author yet! lol.
Plus Size Player (Curve #2) | Danielle Allen
(check out my review video on IG here, I promise it’s a good one!)
The confidence in this book was such a pleasure to read.
This book was full of excitement, longing, confidence, and sweet sweet spice.
Get your hands on this book the way Russ gets his hands on Nina. Boyyyyyyy!
Ready or Not: A Slow Burn Novella from the Nape Series (Book 1) | Olive Winter (ARC Review)
This book gave me like a cool romantic indie film vibe. Like a mild version of Love Jones. The scene touched on the city, a rooftop party, and the subway and gave some a little bit of that spice. The love story was cute and again, the best girlfriend aspect of any book always gets me. This was a cute little novella.
Final Temptation (Alpine Peak, #2) | Nicole Kennedy (ARC Review)
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this ARC by Nicole Kennedy.
This is the second book of Nicole Kennedy’s Alpine Peak Series. This book had a good amount of sweet, spicy and struggle. The author satisfies the hopeless romantic in you and gives it to you GOOD with all the spice. *smirk*
The MMC, Myles, is a former playboy so you know he can dick ya down good and sweet Sophie was down for the ride. All. The. Rides.
And along with checking your romance and spicy boxes, the author sprinkled in some struggle to keep the story from being too sweet and making it more grounded to real life situations.
I did enjoy book two over book one and although Declan (from book 1) is a sweetie pie, I definitely am swooning over Myles more. *biting lip*
Reckless Roses (Pacific Shores, Book 3) | Sarah A. Bailey | (ARC Review)
(check out my video review on IG here)
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to receive this ARC by Sarah Bailey and @emberliterarypr.
This book is part of the Pacific Shores series and my first book I’ve read from this author.
I LOVED THIS BOOK.
If you are an angsty book lover, LIKE ME, you’ll love this book.
This book made me FEEL. A LOT. And that’s what gravitates me to enjoy a book more when it makes me feel all the things.
Storyline is about love, pining, best friends, toxicity, and loss. The characters were easy to fall in love with and that’s why the it was heartbreaking to read how they navigated “life” in this fictional world.
It was such a great read that I’m heading over to buy all the books in this series to have it all in my possession!
Along with loving the story and the characters, I loved the way the author wrote. She wrote so poetically.
Sarah has definitely won a spot in my fave author’s list from this arc read alone!
I hope you take a chance on this book. It’s a good one!
Lucky Penny, The Hometown Series, #2 | Katherine Bitner
I’m so lucky to have been gifted with the opportunity to read this ARC by Katherine Bitner through BookFunnel
Penny is a straight forward, independent, fixer. With how her life has gone and the way her heart went through it, I don’t blame her tough ass exterior and all the walls she built to protect herself.
Jesse is the sexy, tattooed soulmate who is loyal to a fault. What. A. Guy. The way he cares, not only for Penny, but the whole Hanson clan…there’s no way you wouldn’t want him in your corner.
This was a cute second chance story. When the one is the one, hold on tight the second time around and never let go.
Happy Reading!
