Let me grab a coffee, adjust my crown and get the day started. This is my life in words.

“A well read woman is a dangerous creature.”

The Perfect Marriage | Jeneva Rose
OOOOOWEEEE this book had me f*ucked up. I had all the feelings. All these characters definitely heightened my trust issues because everyone was real big on switching up! This was a crazy roller coaster ride that I didn’t mind being on! We all love a plot twist, don’t we?! A bit confusing here and there, but pretty suspenseful.

Only Love Can Hurt Like This | Paige Toon
If you are a Hallmark lover, this book starts off as do most Hallmark movies start off. There is an event that leads Wren to flee to a farm and has an awkward first encounter with a handsome farmer. Tell me that’s not a Hallmark trademark!!! “It’s hard to trust your instincts, when they’re breaking your heart.” This book wasn’t my favorite love story but I definitely felt pangs in my heart diving into the story of Wren and Anders and the journey to discover what is best for the both of them.

The Housemaid | Freida McFadden
The book had a dollop of crazy and a sprinkle of strange. A great recipe for an absolute page turner! I just could not put it down! So many jaw dropping moments all the way to the end!! This is a great pick up for the psychological thriller lover in you!!!

Meet Me At the Lake | Carley Fortune
AAHHHHHH! If you loved Carley Fortune’s first book Every Summer After (review here), you will LOVE this book. I was stuck in the fictional land of Every Summer After for weeks but now that I dove in and visited Brookbanks Resort, I can’t leave. I love the story between Fern and Will, past and present day (and I have absolutely fallen for Will *swoon* ). There are moments where your chest will hurt and your cheeks will blush all the while you are lovingly smiling for these characters, main and supporting. Please go out and grab this one. It’s a must have in your home library!

On A Quiet Street | Seraphina Nova Glass
This was a slow beginning for me but when it picked up, ohhhh…it PICKED. UP. It’s always interesting to dive into the lives of neighbors on a block and how they all intertwine. You definitely never know the happenings behind closed doors. The crazy secrets, the gaslighting, the moral code (or lack there of) amongst these neighbors make this book one you can’t put down.

Love & Other Words | Christina Lauren
Another book with time jumps for each chapter and a tricky relationship that begins as young love. These stories will NEVER get old for me! First off, I love that it was set in the Bay Area! (Yeee!) Second, I immediately and completely felt deeply for Elliot. The chapters that were in Elliot’s and Macey’s adulthood made my heart feel a deep ache for their love and longing. The sweetness and honesty they have in their conversations make me stop in my reading tracks and hold my hand to my heart only to read those lines a few more times over again.

Layla | Colleen Hoover
Ok. So this book had lots of twists and turns. I did find myself feeling pretty irritated and shaking my head throughout reading many parts of this book. Then it wasn’t until I was close to the end where I was very much NEEDING to know what happened next. Did it keep me engaged? Hell yes. This may not have been one of my favorite CoHo books but it was another I couldn’t put down. “In every realm of life.”

Nora Goes Off Script | Annabel Monoghan
The book was a sweet and cute fun rom com for sure. The plot was a type that I usually love. I guess I just couldn’t connect to the characters and their love story didn’t give me…sparks. I didn’t find myself in love with the romantic tale but still was a good read! Not a bad pick up, but it didn’t make me swoon.

Happy Reading!
